“The Scriptures clearly teach that God was born in time, coming to us in the plainest and clearest way He could have come—as one of us! One of the saddest and most distressing facets of religion is that some people think they must embark on searches and journeys for God. However the Bible clearly teaches that God embarked on a ‘journey’ for us. He found us! He came into our flesh and joined us in our life. This has not changed at all for the Christian Church; to this day Christ continues to come to us through His Word and Sacrament. But God does call us to ‘seek’ Him while He may be found (Isaiah 55:6). He is found through Christ Jesus.”
