Dan Enters a False Inheritance." He refers to the event as sinful and states: "The tribes were to finish the job given to them by Joshua, each in his own inheritance. This Dan had not done (Judges 1:34). Dan was in the wrong place doing the wrong thing. Moreover, Dan had compounded its sin with the theft of idols and a false priest” (187).
